The N Gauge section is currently working on its first layout as we are the new section in the club.
The new layout is set in 1960 to 65 and is the period which saw both steam and diesels working the lines. In this case we are modelling a fictional terminus with GWR and Southern Stations. The southern being 3rd rail electric involving 4-c.e.p.s and Southern steam. The Western region station is based on the Southall building but set as a terminus. The layout will be transportable and as such it is our aim to exhibit this layout for a year or so.
All of the current members are actively involved in the building of its various sections. We have so far laid about 50% of the track and built four of the platforms. the buildings for the terminuses are currently under construction at home by two of the members and several are doing their own projects such as painting and research.
There are currently 6 members of the section so any new members are more than welcome. You will have a roll to play whether you are an experienced modeller or a novice.
We will, once track is laid and electrics have been finished be able to run track nights to run trains and enjoy them. Track nights will not be era specific which, will allow all models to be run from Pre-War to Modern Age so please feel free to visit us.
