For the January video we focus on Lyncombe Vale and the southern entrance to Devonshire tunnel which has had much detail work on the scenery in the last 3 weeks. Note also the back scenes now fitted around Midford. More to follow.

Well, its come and gone. It was a lovely day and I thought it was a really enjoyable event.

Trackwork in progress winter 2016/17 Leave a comment
Movement of piers has necessitated the levelling and realignement of the track shown. Most of the concrete lintels have been repositioned giving a slight curve before entering a straight. The next section has been more problematic. One pier is removed, preferably but not yet to ground level to be bridged by ironwork. It’s pretty large still and needs some more enthusiastic use of the Kango. 2 others are reduced to act as bases for steel columns. More work to be done yet.
